The Leader

What is it like to have to be strong? To lead people that are lost and searching for answers when you don’t even have the answers yourself. The loneliness and segregation of such a burden can drive you mad. Problems and issues bombarding your prefrontal cortex like an apache obliterating a stronghold; it inevitably falls.

What wisdom can give you the subconscious strength to forsake your own wellbeing to provide for others’ needs without a shread of fear? The human tendency to fall toward fear rather than good judgment alone separates the follower from the leader. Most people don’t know their own strengths and weaknesses. They’ve been sheltered in a life of easy satisfaction and structured environments. When their comfort zone and daily ritual is compromised, all hell breaks loose. That’s when a leader is needed the most. The question is, what defines a leader and how long can they last before they too fall into oblivion? Do you have what it takes to garner the respect of the followers around you? Do you have what it takes to keep it?
